This annual event was inspired by a former student, Zaykia Ponten-Bey approximately 12 years ago who requested a program for Black females. While the title encompasses "Black females" given impetus for the event, the program is for all Monarch students (and the general public) irrespective of race, gender, academic major, etc. See attached flier
