Student Clubs

Mathematics & Statistics Club (Math/Stat)

The Math/Stat Club is an organization that provides social, scholastic, and professional opportunities for students interested in mathematics and statistics. All С»ÆƬÊÓƵ students are eligible for membership. Members meet at least once a month during the fall and spring semesters.

Club members meet with other students as well as faculty members. Favorite events include the monthly meetings and the department picnic. Speakers are brought in to talk to the group about careers in math-related fields. This allows members to learn more about potential careers, develop their professional skills, and network with area business leaders. Students can also choose to give presentations. The Club in conjunction with the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Student Chapter of SIAM holds annual spring picnic in April. The Math/Stat Club also holds joint meetings with the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Student Chapter of SIAM.

What are you working on? Interested in talking about it? The Math/Stat club provides a great opportunity for students to both speak about their research
